Controller KIT for 6 PIN LESLIES 122 and 147 (6H AND 6W families)

  • Now it is possible to convert a LESLIE with a 6-pole connector, so that it is AUTONOMOUS and does not depend on the always problematic six-pin cable, and thus can be used with any instrument that has an audio output that can be connected with a cable with a Jack terminal 1/4.
  • The Kit is designed to be housed in the lower rear cavity of the amplifier, in such a way that the box containing the electronics is housed very close to the amplifier, making a simple connection to it feasible.
  • The panel has the original measurements to fit exactly the same as the original, and has a window for the connection box, as well as a generously sized opening that makes it possible to easily place microphones, for live sound, or a recording studio.
  • Eliminates the need for DC voltage on the audio line that normally controls switching motors on a 122, and TRS balanced audio connection for this model. The versions built for the European market (230V.), the vast majority, have a characteristic (I suppose that at the time it was taken for economic interests) and that is that the motors operate with a voltage of 117V., a variable that conditions possible solutions, and which is solved without adding a transformer to the effect as usual. It is not necessary to make any transformation to the amplifier, and it is easily reversible if you want to use it in its current state.
  • To connect the Kit, you simply have to remove the cables from the motors connected to the amplifier and apply them to the bases on the back of the box, and connect the cable with a six-pin terminal that comes out of it to the block of the amplifier, connection to secondary, apply the power cable to the mains, change pedal, connect the desired instrument and it is ready to work. You can see the connection sequence in the attached images.
  • The set includes: - Motor control box, in which they are located -IEC power connection base, - Switch - Ignition light, - Fuse, -Jack type connector for audio input, -Jack type connector for pedal input or half-moon for gear change, -Four American type plug sockets for connecting the motors, -Electronics inside with a double solid state relay (SSR) that allows you to control the speeds, fast, stop and slow, adding the stopped option, not present in the common options of this type of Leslies, and eliminating for life, the clicking noises that are as common as they are annoying, when the gear change is activated,
  • -Connection cable to the amplifier block with six-pin terminal, for power supply and audio. -
  •  Double switch pedal, for speed control, with On/Off and Slow/Fast options. Optionally it can be replaced by a half-moon designed for the same functions.
  • Power cable for connection to the network.
  • This system does not work with the rare and unusual 122a, which was produced by SUZUKI (MR) many years after the original 122. It is valid for the rest of the models, belonging to their families 122(6H) that is, 22, 32H, 22H etc. and 147 (6W), 44W, 46W, 47..etc.
  • The need for high voltage inside the speed switch, pedal or crescent is eliminated, since 5 or 12VDc is used unlike the old relays that send half of 120 or 220V AC to the speed switch, with the risk of Shock that implies some breakdown of the components.
  • Check the working voltage of the motors, which is indicated on the labels attached to them.
  • We have been using this system for some years with complete satisfaction, but in this way round trip transportation is avoided with the consequent cost savings.
  • Always indicate the model of the amplifier you want to connect to.
  • This Kit will function correctly, as long as the amplifier has not been modified in any of its qualities, in which case all responsibility is declined. Any question do not hesitate to ask.

We work with components disassembled from Hammond organs, as well as Leslie amplifiers from different eras, which make it possible to repair or improve those currently existing, which require those parts, and allow their functionality to be extended over time, allowing these noble instruments, carry out their magnificent work. New options are also developed, for the old functions, with current materials and technologies, providing the tools that guarantee the sound consecrated by these instruments, in the history of music.
